Drought situation in South Africa may persist if resources are mismanaged

South Africa’s Water and Sanitation minister has issued a warning that if water resources are not managed well in the country, the drought situation will persist.

The minister says, since South Africa is a naturally water-scarce country, it needs careful water management.  Millions of people in East and Southern Africa have been affected by drought since 2016.
