Djibouti summit raises concern about illiteracy among women

The high levels of illiteracy among women in Africa is an issue that needs to be addressed – and urgently.

That is according to experts attending a higher education conference in Djibouti. They are concerned poor literacy will not only overshadow efforts to empower women, but also slow down economic progress on the continent.
