In the Central African Republic many are questioning whether the voluntary disarmament programme is working. On Sunday, civilians brought in their weapons and ammunition following a call from the country’s Prime Minister. Andre Nzapa-yeke urged citizens to hand in weapons following a spike in ongoing sectarian violence in the country.
