Diamond Platinumz from Tanzania stole the night at the All Africa Music Awards 2015 taking home three awards and being crowned the African artist of the year. The awards gala held in Nigeria over the weekend aims to preserve the African music culture.

East Africa dethroned Nigeria with musicians from the region taking most of the awards this year. Kenya’s Sauti sol and Nigeria’s Yemi Alade also get awarded with the best group and the best female West African artist respectively.
