Creating health drinks from medicinal mushrooms in Togo

In Togo, a young entrepreneur has come up with the idea to produce a range of refreshing beverages from medicinal mushrooms.

This range of drinks called Champiso, is touted as being not only thirst quenching but therapeutic as well. The health drink is now a trend in Togo

The creators say there’s more to their beverages than just quenching your thirst.

Since the launch of this range of beverages in Lomé, people have quickly a gotten used to the concept of detox. Thanks to a few choice of words from satisfied customers.

In the coming years, the plans are underway to introduce mushrooms into several other consumer products, including in cooking broth and sausages.
