Controversial Balotelli feigns injury and skips training to buy iPhone 6
Mario Balotelli has once again hit the headlines in a negative way after reports emerged that he feigned injury subsequently skipping a training session in order to purchase an iPhone 6.
The Italian striker is said to have spotted a team mate in possession of a very classy gadget upon which he asked fellow team mates what it was. On being told that it was the then newly released iPhone 6, Balotelli visibly became irked, presumably because he was not yet in possession of the latest smartphone.
Moments later, the team went out to onto the training field to participate in the usual warm up drills. Surprisingly though, the 25 year old pulled out just after a short while complaining of discomfort in his hamstring. The staff consequently sent him right back inside to be assessed by the medical team.
When the Liverpool players came back into the dressing room after 90 minutes however, they were surprised to find a delighted Balotelli tucked up in a corner with a new iPhone 6 in his hands. The pain he had earlier on complained about had miraculously disappeared.
This is another incident that explains just why Liverpool are so desperate to offload the former Manchester City player from their ranks.
Reports have already emerged that AC Milan have signed the Italian on a season long loan deal. It however remains to be seen whether he will do away with his theatrics and focus more on his performance on the pitch rather than off it.
