Police in India’s capital New Delhi say a Congolese national was beaten to death by three locals.

The incident took place in the city’s plush Vasant Kunj area on Friday night when the man identified as Masonda Ketanda Olivier got into an argument with the accused over hiring a three-wheeler auto-rickshaw.

The war of words got ugly and one of the accused thrashed Olivier with a stone. While one of them was arrested, two others remain at large.

It is not the first case of attack on African nationals. In March a Nigerian Football coach Evwrirhe Isaac, and his friend were beaten up with cricket bats and hockey sticks inside their room in the capital.
