Communist Party of China holds 7th Plenary Session

President Xi Jinping leads the 6th plenum of 18th Central Committee in 2016

The eighteenth Communist Party of China Central Committee is holding the seventh plenary session in Beijing, laying the foundation for the Party’s upcoming 19th National Congress next week.

During the session, the members will discuss a report to be delivered by General Secretary, President Xi Jinping, at the 19th National Congress.

Also on agenda are an amendment to the Party’s Constitution and a report to be delivered at the congress by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC.

Analysts say this conference will highlight the leadership of the CPC Central Committee, with General Secretary Xi Jinping as the core, and the Party’s new thoughts on governance over the past five years.
