Read < 1 minute

Chinese President Xi Jinping has just moments ago arrived in Egypt.

That’s after he wrapped up his visit to Saudi Arabia, in the first leg of his three-nation tour in the Middle East.

Back in 2014 China and Egypt agreed to lift their relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership.

Relations between the two nations span 60 years. Ahead of his visit President Xi said he’s keen for China and Egypt to uphold regional peace, promote beneficial cooperation, and advocate the diversity of their civilizations.
