Chinese construction firm completes tunnel linking Algeria’s north and south

Algeria has been increasingly relying on China’s expertise in infrastructure, especially highway construction.

The North African nation decided to link its north and south with a super highway. Engineers and workers from the China Construction Company have dug Algeria’s longest tunnel, paving the way for a north-south highway.

It’s taken two years to get through the mountainous region that separates Algeria from sub-Saharan Africa.
