China, Tajikistan agree to deepen ties for common prosperity

Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon held talks on Saturday, agreeing to further deepen the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership for common development and prosperity.

Xi arrived here Friday for the fifth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, and a state visit to the Central Asian country.

This comes after Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Tajikistan Friday for the fifth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and a state visit to Tajikistan.
