China observes 90th Liberation Army anniversary

China is the biggest troop contributing country to the UN peace keeping mission and the second biggest financer of peacekeeping operations.
An indication of the global role, the PLA is undertaking. Despite its military might, China says, the world has nothing to fear.
Early this month, China deployed military personnel to its first overseas base in Djibouti, set up to act as a support base, a commitment China says, to global peace.
