China NGO Network Holds Pre-FOCAC Exchange Seminar
China NGO Network for International Exchanges and Stellenbosch University of South Africa jointly has been holding an exchange seminar on the FOCAC summit and beyond, in Cape Town, ahead of the commencement of the FOCAC seminar in Johanessburg.
Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is on a state visit to South Africa, alongside South African President Jacob Zuma, will chair the Forum on China Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
“Voices from the People, Friendship among the People and Cooperation for the People” is the theme throughout the event.
Representatives from Chinese and South African NGOs, think tanks, media, businesses and the government of West Cape Province of South Africa participated in the events and discussed the valuable opportunities of exchanges and cooperation between the people of China and Africa afforded by new developments.
President Xi and his South African counterpart Jacob Zuma yesterday witnessed the signing of 26 mega deals between China and South Africa.
President Xi said that China will facilitate South Africa’s efforts to lead China-Africa cooperation on production capability and promote Africa’s industrialization, encourage more financing for South Africa, and support the early launch of the establishment
