China, Kenya vow to continue strong partnership during celebration of PLA
Senior Colonel Wang Yang says China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) will continue to fulfill the responsibilities and duties commensurate with China’s international status as well as contribute to fostering a community that has a shared vision of a future for mankind.

Col. Wang made the comments during an event at the Chinese embassy in Kenya. The event commemorated the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the PLA.
He added that in recent years, the heads of state in China and Kenya have maintained close communication and successfully held three meetings which produced fruitful results in less than one year.
Currently, China-Kenya relations are at their best in history and have achieved new levels of comprehensive strategic partnership. With the continuous deepening of political mutual trust and the rapid development of cooperation in various fields, the development of relations between the two militaries has ushered in new historical opportunities. Col. Wang concluded his remarks by saying with joint efforts from both sides, the pragmatic cooperation between the two sides will surely become closer and deeper.
