China donates school supplies to Rwandese school
China hosted a charity event in the Rwandan capital, Kigali, where it donated school supplies to thousands of Rwandese children.
The donation of school supplies was organised by China’s State Council Information Office, the Chinese Embassy in Rwanda, and the Rwanda Education Board. It was hosted by the Beijing M-W Foundation and China Report Press under China International Publishing Group and several other organisations.
More than 2,000 Rwandan students were presented with school bags filled with supplies.
Distinguished guests attended the ceremony, including Guo Weimin, the viceminister of China’s State Council Information Office.
China’s vice minister, State Council Information Office said the donation would help the pupils learn better, and also better relations between his country and Rwanda.
“Today we donated Kacyiru Primary School with schoolbags, stationery, solar lights, etc.is to help these pupils learn better. At the same time, it also conveyed the greetings and friendships of Chinese children to Rwandan children. The mutual understanding and friendship between the children and the people of the two countries will play a very good role in promoting the relations between China and Rwanda,” he said.
