Local journalists have admitted the cooperation is helping to fight misinformation which can spread unnecessary fear and panic. Switch TV anchor Nicholas Mudimba says, apart from discrimination and stigmatisation, misinformation undermines people’s willingness to follow legitimate public health advice.
