Today we’re celebrating the icon that is Nelson Mandela. We will be covering key events of his life throughout the day but we also want to hear from you.

CCTV Africa’s Anchor Fahmida Miller tweeted last night about speculation on Mandela’s health and an imminent announcement

and then the announcement was made

Leaders from around the world have been expressing their condolences and admiration for Mandela. What we want to know is how did the man and his legacy impact you? Would lessons would you like your leaders to learn from his life and achievements?
