Cattle export sector thrives in Botswana

It’s often joked that the cattle population in the landlocked southern African nation of Botswana outnumbers the people living there. Of the estimated 2.2 M cattle, 88% belong to communal farmers, who practise traditional farming methods on smallholdings. The remainder are owned by commercial farms, which implement more modern practices. CGTN’s Maria Galang visited a feed lot in southern Botswana to see how the sector is managing following the recent drought.
