Cameroon’s national airline, Camair-Co, is set to resume flights to Europe after ban restricting it from flying into the European air was lifted.
The airline’s ban to fly into the European airspace was due to some administrative and management hurdles, and not related to a flight ban according to the Minister of Transport, Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo’o.
The Minister said in a communique that the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) lifted Camair-Co flights restrictive measures to fly to Europe and that all disagreements between and among institutions responsible for the management of air aviation and air safety within and without the country have been resolved according to Cameroonian Journal.
“I want to bring to your notice that during the tripartite meeting of my ministry, the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority, CCAA and the Cameroon Airlines Corporation, Camair-Co, following the intervention of the head of state, His Excellency President Paul Biya, who has outlined a plan to revamp Camair-Co, the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority has lifted its ban on Camair-Co,” said the Minister in the statement
