Party elections have been rescheduled in Israel because the date clashes with a Britney Spears concert!

Britney is performing in Tel Aviv’s Hayarkon Park for the first time ever on July 3 and this has led to the delaying the Labor Party’s leadership vote by a day, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported. The election was originally scheduled to take place on the same day at the Convention Center for Labor, which is adjacent to the park.

A party spokesperson says the biggest issue at hand was entirely logistical. There don’t seem to be enough security guards available to work during the Labor primary since many had already been booked to work at the Spears show.

Also moving the date according to the source would “make it easier for people to reach polling stations’, because of the heavy traffic expected in the city.

A statement put out by the election committee for the Labor Party although they did not name Britney specifically said: The election date was delayed by one day due to the fact that there is a major event at Yarkon Park on July 3, 2017.’
