Bossaso town in Somalia unveils new airport

Bossaso town in northeastern Somalia now has an international airport.

Built by a Chinese company – the region – that also has a strategic port is now open for business with local and international flights set to use the new airport.

The airport has a 2.4 km runway – making it the biggest in Somalia.

The first phase of the project has been completed and the engineers are now embarking on the final project that includes a new terminal.
