Bomb kills three in Libyan court
A bomb explosion killed at least three people in a Libyan court complex on Wednesday, also injuring dozens others, health officials said.
The attack that has been claimed by Islamist terror group ISIL was conducted in the western city of Misrata.
Authorities from a Misrata hospital confirmed the incident, saying most of the victims of the bombing were civilians and security personnel working at the complex.
There are fears that the death toll might rise further, as some of those injured are considered to be in critical conditions.
Libya has been dogged by conflict since the 2011 ouster and killing of long-serving leader Muammar Gaddafi.
Gaddafi’s death created a power vacuum in the North African country, with different groups emerging to fight for control.
Currently, there are two governments operating in different parts of the country, though only one is recognized by the United Nations.
The world body is pushing for a renewed peace deal between the warring factions, seeking to lead the country to a presidential election in 2018.
