The blast is the first such attack on an IDP camp in the West African most populous country.

It went off at an IDP camp in a school in the village of Malkohi, a spokesperson with the National Emergency Management Agency said.

It is not known yet who the perpetrators of the attack are though suspicions are will most probably laid on the Islamist extremist militant group Boko Haram.

Boko Haram has waged a six-year insurgency that has displaced about 2.1 million people and killed thousands of others.
