Bodies from Kenya tanker tragedy transported to capital Nairobi for identification

Bodies of six victims of the Naivasha tanker tragedy in Kenya have already been identified.

The identification process began this morning after the remains of at least 39 people were transported to the capital Nairobi. The national pathologist will begin post-mortems from Tuesday and DNA testing will start for family members of those who were burnt beyond recognition.

At least 39 people died on Saturday night after the driver of a lorry transporting inflammable chemicals to Uganda allegedly lost control and hit vehicles from oncoming traffic along a major highway in central Kenya.
