Biyo-Adde town in Somalia comes back to life after liberation from Al-Shabaab

Business activity has resumed in Somalia’s Biyo Adde, a town in the Shabelle region, just a month after liberation from Al-Shabaab militants.

The town was recaptured after a combined effort from the Somali National Army and the Burundi National Defence Forces.

And to ensure sustained peace, patrols have become a regular occurrence injecting hope that the city could soon burst into full activity.

The residents certainly seem to relish their newly found peace and freedom.

The markets are  booming now with trade. more shops open, and people are once again bringing their crops and animals to the market.
