The international fashion industry has come under criticism for its focus on as tall, slender figures, and femininity and white skin. In Cote D’Ivoire there is no such focus, big is beautiful!

Abidjan, capital of Ivory Coast hosted the first ever Miss Curvy Ivory Coast’s pageant. The show is aimed at emphasizing that curvy women are beautiful, according to organizers. Our correspondent Nicolas Négoce sent us these pictures.
