Best travel destinations across Africa acknowledged and awarded

Africa’s crème del a crème in the travel industry awarded in a red carpet gala in Zanzibar, Tanzania in the World Travel Awards of 2016.
Kenya Airways bagged Africa’s leading airline for the first time in the award’s history toppling South Africa airways which has dominated the awards since 1994. However, the airlines also bagged for the fourth time Africa’s leading airline in Business Class. The Ethiopian airlines was awarded for the fifth time in a row Africa’s leading airline in the Economy class as Fastjet was recognized for being Africa’s leading low cost airline.
Diani Beach in Kenya for the fourth time was ranked Africa’s leading beach destination while Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya was named Africa’s leading National park as Kenya continued to be voted one of Africa’s destinations.

Tanzania’s Mount Kilimanjaro was ranked Africa’s leading tourist attraction for the second time in a row. South Africa’s Blue train was named Africa’s leading luxury Train. Although Durban International Convention Centre in South Africa was named Africa’s leading meetings and conference centre, it was Nairobi that was crowned Africa’s destination for meetings and conference.
Serena hotels won two prizes as it was voted Africa’s leading hotel brand and its Nairobi hotel recognized as Africa’s leading hotel. Transcorp Hilton Abuja took the title of Africa’s Leading Business Hotel
