Bayern Munich face uphill challenge against Barcelona

Read < 1 minute

Bayern Munich have a herculean task when they face Barcelona in the second leg of the UEFA Champions league semifinal clash at the Allianz arena in Germany.

They must overturn a 3-0 deficit from the first leg. Bayern will play the game  without two of their brightest stars, Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, who are both out for the rest of the season with injury. On their part, the 3-0 win over Bayern Munich in the first leg  has taken Barcelona to the brink of a first final appearance since 2011, when they clinched a fourth title in European club football’s premier competition.

Lionel Messi’s two goals in the space of four second half minutes put Barcelona in control against Bayern and Neymar’s strike deep into added time heaped further pressure on Pep Guardiola’s side ahead of the game
