Battling Boko Haram: Nigeria’s President Seeks Help from Neighbouring Countries

Nigeria’s newly-elected president, Muhammadu Buhari, made his first official trip abroad Wednesday to neighbouring Niger. The visit is part of a regional tour, as Buhari seeks help to eradicate the Islamist group Boko Haram. His next stop is Chad – a military heavyweight in the region. His trip though comes amid allegations of human rights abuses by Nigeria’s army. Clementine Logan has more.
