Barcelona take on Atlético Madrid in one of four mouth-watering UCL quarter-final clashes
The UEFA Champions League’s defending champions Barcelona will face fellow Spanish side Atlético Madrid in the quarter finals of the tournament as the third Spanish side Real Madrid are lined up for a relatively easier fixture against Germany’s VfL Wolfsburg.
Barcelona will be seeking revenge in this tie as Atlético Madrid eliminated them in the same stage in the 2013/14 season.
French side Paris Saint-Germain meanwhile will take on the only English side Manchester City, having progressed at the expense of Chelsea.
Bayern Munich are lined up against Portuguese side Benfica in the last tie of the quarter final stage. The Germans had to dig deep to see off a spirited Juventus side in the Round of 16, having gone two goals down in the second leg of their tie at the Allianz Arena. They came back into the game courtesy of headed goals from Robert Lewandowski and Tomas Muller, before adding a further two in added time to clinch their spot in the quarter finals draw.
Here’s the draw in full;
Wolfsburg v Real Madrid
Bayern Munich v Benfica
Barcelona v Atlético Madrid
Paris Saint-Germain v Manchester City
The ties will be played on April 5/6 and 12/13:
