Read < 1 minute

At least 15 people were killed on Saturday in a suicide bombing at a polling booth in Kabul as Afghans voted in parliamentary elections.

Among those killed were ten civilians and five policemen, while more than 25 others were left with injuries.

The attack was staged by a lone suicide bomber, who tried to force his way into the polling station.

Saturday’s attack was the first major attack in a day marred by disruption, and an election shadowed by violence and unrest.
