
Arsenal and AC Milan legends play to raise funds to build pitches in Somalia
English football giants Arsenal hosted a charity legends match against Italian side AC Milan on Saturday at the Emirates Stadium in London to raise funds to help build football pitches in Somalia, Jordan and London.
The match was a bid by the Arsenal Foundation to raise over £1million for the cause.
The project aims to enable thousands of children and internally displaced people get access to football facilities.
The Saturday game saw African Arsenal legends get back in the red and white colours of the Emirates outfit.
Nigerian great Nwanko Kanu and Cote d’Ivoire’s Kolo Toure took part in the game, with the former netting a hat-trick as the Arsenal legends beat the AC Milan legends 4-2.
