Arms embargo exemptions being considered for new Libyan government

World powers including the United States are ready to consider demands from Libya’s new unity government for exemptions from a United Nations arms embargo to help establish its authority over the country.

The leaders also said they were ready to supply weapons to the country’s new unity government to help it fight the growing threat posed by ISIL.
