Angola, Guinea Bissau Discuss Strengthening Relations
The strengthening of bilateral relations between Angola and Guinea-Bissau dominated the audience that President of Guinea Bissau, José Mário Vaz, granted to the Angolan Foreign minister, Georges Chikoti, on the sidelines of the 27th Summit of the African Union taking place since Sunday in Kigali, Rwanda.
The Angolan diplomat told journalists at the end of the meeting, reiterating the strengthening of bilateral relations with the Republic of Guinea-Bissau. The two interlocutors reviewed the political situation prevailing in that country and discussed on international interest issues in general and, in particular, related to the African continent.
In another meeting with the US under Secretary for African Affairs Linda Thomas, the Minister said that they addressed issues related to the situation in South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Foreign Minister is representing the head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, at the 27th African Union Summit.
