Americans on Twitter send touching messages to Barack Obama ahead of his exit
Today marks the last day of the 44th President of the United States of America’s reign.
President Barack Obama will tomorrow, January 20, hand over the presidency to president-elect Donald Trump after eight years at the helm of the U.S.’ leadership.
Many Americans have been sending their congratulatory messages to the president, as they also wish him well in his future endeavors.
Americans on Twitter have been flooding the social site with messages intended to reach the outgoing president, thanking him for his years of service.
Obama made history in 2009 by being sworn in as the first ever Black president of the United States.
He held his final press briefing yesterday ahead of the Donald Trump inauguration ceremony to be held tomorrow.
Here are some of the messages posted on Twitter;
Thank you, for your dignity and grace in the face of adversity. Thank you, for your exceptional leadership. You will be missed Obama.
