AMCU Union accuses gold companies of negotiating in bad faith

The Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union in South Africa has accused gold mining companies of negotiating in bad faith. The accusation comes as wage talks in the sector enter their seventh week.

AMCU which represents about 30% of workers in the gold industry has rejected the pay offer on the table and in a rare turn of events, is also demanding that Mining companies compensate workers for unpaid overtime work. CCTV’s Sumitra Nydoo reports.
