Algeria confirms new coronavirus case, total up to 20

The Algerian Ministry of Health on Sunday said it had a new confirmed case of the coronavirus bringing the number of cases in the country to 20.

The ministry did not share further details of the new case or disclose its location.

Out of the 20 cases so far, at least 16 are from the same family in the Blida province, which is about 30 km south of the capital Algiers.

On Wednesday, the ministry reported nine new confirmed cases saying that mobilisation of health teams remained at its highest level.
