Africa’s first waste to gas plant opens in Cape Town

The continent’s first large scale waste to gas plant has opened in Cape Town. It’s set to usher in a new way of generating renewable energy. The New Horizons plant extracts environmentally friendly high-quality products, from household, municipal and industrial waste. The project is also the first multimillion-dollar renewable energy investment of the year — creating over 100 jobs, as CGTN’s Travers Andrews reports
