The Director of the African Union’s Centre for Disease Control and Prevention praised China’s efforts in controlling the spread of the disease, which he described as impressive and positive. At the same time, he called for international support for China saying the moment call for solidarity. Meanwhile, another top African Union diplomat has criticised countries that have suspended flights to China, saying the action does not reflect well on integration and solidarity.
