Abidjan in overnight frenzy after Alassane Ouattara’s election win

Read < 1 minute

Hundreds gathered in Cote d’Ivoire’s capital Abidjan to celebrate the election win by Alassane Ouattara.

Ouattara won almost 84 percent of the vote. And was followed from a long distance by Pascal Affi N’Guessan, who only got about nine percent of the votes cast.

Celebration ran overnight and signalled another chance for Ouattara to reignite the West African nation’s glory.
