Boko Haram is fighting to enforce shariah law in 36 Nigeria states

 

More than 20 people have been killed in two separate attacks blamed on Boko Haram.

A female suicide bomber reportedly struck a packed market in the northern city of Maiduguri. the capital of Borno State.

The attack which hapened late Tuesday, came three days after a multiople bombo attack killed more than 50 people.

And, 100 kilometres to the east, gunmen opened fire in the town of Ngamdu.

The attacks came hours after the government branded the Islamist group as desperate.

Sources say a loud blast rocked Maiduguri just after 4pm local time (1500 GMT) and that the bomber detonated her device at a roundabout near the Monday Market, which has seen numerous attacks before.

Maiduguri is where Boko Haram started its activities  and the group has continuously been fighting the government for the last six years wanting to enforce Islamic law in all 36 states of Nigeria.
