Police in Uganda have reportedly fired pepper spray at women taking part in protests in the capital against police brutality.
The demonstrations follow an incident that happened on Saturday, in which police appeared to undress a woman while arresting her. The woman is an opposition figure from the FDC party whose flag bearer in Kizza Besigye, and was part of a delegation heading to the western part of the country for a party event.
The women were in Kampala were marching to parliament when they were blocked by the police.
They then decided to sit in the middle of the road.
The police tried to arrest some of the women but their colleagues helped prevent the arrests.
