13 killed in road accident in Nigeria
At least 13 people on Tuesday were confirmed killed in a road accident along northern Nigeria’s Kaduna-Kano expressway, said an official.
Hafiz Mohammed, a commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Kaduna, said several passengers also sustained varying degrees of injury in the accident involving a Kano-bound bus and four other vehicles.
The auto crash occurred around a village in the Ikara area of Kaduna.
Sani Haruna, an eyewitness, told Xinhua that the bus lost control and collided with the four cars.
Deadly road accidents are frequently reported in Nigeria, often caused by overloading, bad condition of roads, and reckless driving.
