Raja Casblanca regains top spot from Wydad after defeating Hassania Agadir
Raja Casablanca scored once in each half to secure a 2-0 win away to struggling Hassania Agadir at the Stade Adrar in Agadir on Tuesday.
Soufiane Rahimi broke the deadlock in the third minute while Hamid Ahadad added the second goal four minutes after the restart as Raja, now on 42 points, went two points clear of rivals Wydad Athletic at the top of the table.
Hassania Agadir, meanwhile, remains rooted in 14th place, one place and six points above the relegation zone.
Elsewhere, Mouloudia Oujda lost ground on Raja and Wydad after they could only draw 1-1 away to Youssoufia Berrechid at the Stade Municipal de Berrechid in Berrechid.
Abdelkhalek Ait Ourehbi gave the hosts the lead with a penalty deep into first-half injury time but Mehdi Naghmi leveled for the visitors in the 54th minute with a penalty of their own.
Oujda finished the game with 10 men after Côte d’Ivoire midfielder Lamine Diakite was sent off in the 87th minute for a second yellow card.
The result left Oujda third in the table on 36 points while Berrechid climbed up to ninth on 25 points.
In the day’s other game, Guinean striker Sekou Camara scored and was then sent off for Difaa El Jadidi who conceded a late penalty to draw 1-1 against FAR Rabat. El Jadidi remains in eighth on 28 points while FAR Rabat remains in sixth on 32 points.
