Raja Casablanca missed the chance to go to the top of Morocco’s Botola Pro Championship after they only drew 0-0 away to Moghreb Tetouan at the Stade Saniat Rmel in Tetouan on Wednesday.

The game was more or less evenly balanced but Raja was not clinical enough in front of goal only registering two shots on target from their nine attempts.

This was Raja’s fourth match since the league resumed after more than four months of suspension due to disruptions by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Raja has collected eight points out of a possible 12, winning two matches and drawing two others.

Meanwhile, this was Tetouan’s first match since the restart.

Wydad Athletic still leads the league with 37 points followed by Raja on 36 points with Mouloudia Oujda a further point back. Tetouan occupies 7th spot with 29 points.

According to the Moroccan Royal Football Federation (FRMF), teams with games in hand were scheduled to complete them before the 21st round of matches is played on August 10. The only side in the 16-team league to have played 21 matches is Rapide Oued Zem.

Five teams have so far played 19 matches, the fewest in the league: Wydad Athletic, Raja Casablanca, RS Berkane, Olympique de Safi and Hassania Agadir.
