On March 30, Yassin Moyo was playing on the balcony of his home in Huruma estate on March 30, when he was shot.

An investigation by the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA), singled Duncan Ndiema, as the officer who fired the shot.

Ndiema pleaded not guilty.

Outside court, his lawyer said the state would have to prove that the bullet that killed the teenager came from his client’s gun.

Ndiema is now in detention. He is due back in court on Wednesday for a bail hearing.
