The number of people infected by the novel coronavirus in Ghana has jumped to 11, 422, with 304 more cases confirmed as of Sunday morning, according to data from the Ghana Health Service.
The number of recovered cases increased to 4,156, with 177 further recoveries recorded as all provinces in the country had confirmed infections from the pandemic.
Three more patients had died, increasing the COVID-19 deaths to 51, while the country’s active cases stood at 7,215.
Females represented 42 percent of the total case-count in the West African country, while males accounted for 54 percent.
Ghanaian tertiary educational institutions will reopen on June 15 for final year students to write their exit examinations, under strict COVID-19 prevention protocols.
