Zimbabwe’s COVID-19 cases rise to 63 after 7 more test positive

Zimbabwe announced seven new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the total number of infections to 63 in the country.

This is the highest number the country has recorded in a single day since the onset of the pandemic in early March.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Health and Child Care, seven patients are Zimbabwean returnees from South Africa quarantined in Beitbridge.

A total of 25 people have recovered from the virus while the death toll remains at four.

The country has so far done 38, 352 tests for COVID-19.
