Ghana’s COVID-19 cases rise to 5,735, with 97 new cases confirmed
The number of people infected with the novel coronavirus in Ghana has increased to 5,735 as health authorities confirmed 97 new cases on Sunday.
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) said the number of recoveries has increased to 1,754, with 294 infected people under treatment recovering on Saturday.
Also, the country recorded one more death among the people being treated for COVID-19, bringing the death toll to 29.
In spite of easing a partial lockdown, Ghana extended the closure of its entry points till the end of May and ban on social gatherings over the same period.
