Nigeria records 41 Lassa fever deaths
A total of 41 deaths from Lassa fever have been recorded in Nigeria’s northeastern state of Bauchi since the onset of viral disease outbreak in the country early this year.
He said the state government has intensified training of staff on how to carry out effective fumigation and spraying to prevent the spread of the disease.
Lassa fever is reportedly transmitted when saliva, urine and excreta of rats come into contact with humans. In some cases, it has similar symptoms as malaria.
